About "A Better Music Lesson"
We are conveniently located in beautiful Marion Oaks just off I-75 within 30 minutes of most municipalities in Marion County.
Frederick Mansour has attended the prestigous Berklee College of Music in Boston and the internationally renowned Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He has also attended the master class of Seth Riggs, the voice teacher of numerous famous recording artists.
Frederick has performed at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra and at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts as well as many other venues.
An experienced professional, Frederick Mansour has been teaching music for over twenty five years. He has been a faculty member at the School of the Arts and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He has also been awarded a platinum record and is a successful producer.
Frederick has coached and prepared his students for successful auditions. Many of his students have gone on to win a number of awards and release recordings with major recording companies. Among his many successful students is Bret Michaels, lead singer and hit songwriter for the multi platinum selling group Poison. His students have performed and recorded with artists such as Celine Dion, Amy Grant, Shania Twain, Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney and many others.
Our studio specializes in quality instruction in guitar, piano, voice, music theory and song writing. We have several instruments on site both acoustic and electric. For our vocal students we provide a complete professional PA with three Shure Beta SM58 microphones. For our piano/ keyboard students we have a Yamaha baby grand, a Casio CTK 691 and a Roland RD700 electric keyboard. For our guitar students we have the Eric Clapton Stratocaster and a Junior Strat for those yournger students with smaller hands. We also have a Washburn and a Takamine acoustic available. Of course we encourage our students to bring their own instruments to the studio.
A Better Music Lesson is owned and operated by Frederick and his wife Monica. Lessons are available for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Lesson times are available in increments of 30 minutes with special discounts designed to save you money. Our philosophy is "Do what you love and love what you do."
